Explore – Discover – Learn! That’s what Burlington Public Library is all about.

The Library belongs to everyone in the community and is free to join if you live, work, or go to school in Burlington.

There are seven library branches citywide: six full-service branches (Aldershot, Alton, Brant Hills, Central, New Appleby, Tansley Woods) and a small lending collection serving the rural hamlet of Kilbride. Library service began in Burlington in January 1872.

Central branch is the largest location and houses historical and special collections, a community makerspace, computer lab, and an indoor aquaponics garden. Take a tour! Get an insider’s look at Central branch as part of Doors Open Burlington on Culture Days Saturday during our guided tours.

From drag artists Fay & Fluffy’s Storytime and traditional Japanese flower arranging to drop-in art activities and a henna workshop—we look forward to welcoming you to Burlington Public Library during Culture Days 2019.
