About
Discover Richmond’s storied past throughout the year and over the Culture Days weekend at Steveston’s historic sites. Try your hand at mending fishing nets at Britannia Shipyards, hop aboard the Steveston Tram and meet the friendly Conductor, wash clothes at London Heritage Farm and draft a bank note with a fountain pen in the Bank Manager’s office at the Steveston Museum.
Other experiences over the weekend at Steveston Museum may include:
- Seeing how Stevestonites saw the world and how the world saw Steveston Village through the lenses of photography
- Writing Japanese calligraphy and using school slates with chalk to get a taste of what it was like to be a Japanese Canadian school student in the Village
- Exploring Steveston's frontier medicine and mixing "ointments" to take home.
