About

The #HappyMaking Street Pianos are back for another season encouraging residents and visitors to, "Play, Capture, Share!"

For the past seven years the pianos have been placed at various sites throughout the core, encouraging passersby to stop and play through the month of September.

This year's locations include in front of Grey Rock Clothing Co., Planet Bean, Breezy Corners, the River Run Centre, the main branch of the public library and at platform 12 of Guelph Central Station.

The idea began with former city councillor Ian Findlay. In 2013, he placed a piano in front of his former business Thomas Video and encouraged people to play.
