About
parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km timed run (or run/walk!), with locations around the world. It takes place every Saturday, and is open to everyone, free, safe, and easy in which to participate. On Culture Days 2019 theme of Creativity, Wellness and the Arts we encourage people of every running ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians. The waterfront location on Lake Vernon will inspire and calm you, and the fun vibe and physical activity will boost your endorphins, for sure!
There is no cost, but you must register for a free barcode (www.
parkrun.ca) and bring it to your first run. The parkrun in Huntsville takes place on the Hunter’s Bay Trail which runs along the shore of the Muskoka River and Lake Vernon.
"The elements that inspire are still here."
